Bright colors and neon signs are a prominent feature in many of my paintings. In this series the neon lights are the sole compositional elements, the lights are rendered realistically, yet as the only compositional elements their abstract qualities are emphasized. This painting was inspired by the sign for the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.
