Jazz Quartet

Bright colors and neon signs are a prominent feature of my paintings. In this series the neon lights are the sole compositional elements, the lights are rendered photorealistically, yet as the only compositional elements their abstract qualities are emphasized. I used green flourescent lights as the model for this painting though it is part of the neon jazz series. The title comes from the use of 4 elements in the composition and the "4" inscribed by the three tubes on the left.
